This is just about the best gay love story I have ever seen, partly because it treats gay love as genuinely authentic and we see the story from the point of view of the two lovers themselves but also because it so faithfully recreates a true love story of two serving officers in the Tsahal. I loved it and will go a long time, I fear, before I`ll see anything so good. By the way, David Harrell, `nudnik` is a slang Yiddish expression for a boring or bothersome person.

We loved this movie..it was non-sexual, yet really made it feel that love is and can be true between two people of the same-sex..it gives us validation..we are definately adding this one to our collection..p.s...the music was great..

Over the internet, I use to watch a incredibly sweet and hot guy on a live feed porn site. He left after a bit to return to Israel where he was recalled to army duty. He is a commander in a tank unit. Jagger so reminded me of him in his playfulness...this movie will be on my mind for days. There are tears in my eyes as I write this...I haven`t gotten an email from him in a year...I have no idea if he is alive or what. Thanks to the film-makers for giving me a small look into what Israeli soldiers have to deal with everyday.

I watched this movie 4 times within the space of three days and it got to me every time especially the little aside by Yossi when Jagger`s Mother says that she did not even know what his favourite song was : " Bo " said with a wry smile that evoked a thousand memories - priceless!!!!. This DVD is a definite must for any collection.Hoping to also hear a CD of Ivry Lider who sings Bo. Hope there are more gems like this in the pipeline. cheers Wincenty

This movie was originally made for the Israeli t.v, and only became a big success in cinemas a couple of years later! To correct the other reviewer here, name Randy, this movie only shows how Israel, and especialy the Israeli Army is open minded when it comes to gay issues! And not having enough sex or intimacy scenes in this movie is totaly not because of Israeli political issues! The movie was made short in purpose, for the Israeli t.v. there wasn`t enough time for more sex scenes, if that`s what you`re looking for,go to the porn section of your local video store! This movie is a sensitive love story between 2 soldiers, with a lot of magic and charm from both actors,and it`s very easy to fall in love with the characters they are playing. They are doing an amazing job in this movie, very real and natural acting. This movie was and still a big hit in Israel, by soldiers as well! I`ve been in the premier of this movie in San Francisco last year, and i heard the explanation of the producer himself after the movie, and it was news for me as well, to know how much Israel is open and a great country for gay people to be free and safe. And this movie will show you just the same! Although the characters themselves are still in the closet, there`s no indication for Homophobia with the other characters around them, on the contrary, there`s a scene where "jagger" confronts a group of other soldiers who mantioned the word "queer", and ask them: "what will you do if i`ll tell you that i`m gay?" after a short pause, one of the soldiers says:"jagger, you are so beautiful,of course we all would like to f*ck you..." Jagger is one step closer to come out, and Yossi is still deep inside the closet, and something drastic needs to happen for them to show their true love, and that`s what sad about this love story. Definitely one of the best gay movies i`ve seen in years! Great to have at home!

The film is short, but powerful. I would like to see it remade by an American who isn`t afraid of gay themes. I think much of the intimacies that could have been portrayed were left out in the name of Israeli policital correctness. The film did evoke tears at the end and it is worth the purchase.

I think this is one the best films I have seen. It brought me to tears when Yagger asked Yossi to hug him and tell him he loved him. I will definitely get this dvd for my collection.

I just watched `Yossi and Jagger`. This film is incredible; Yehuda Levi and Ohad Knoller are fantastic as the leads. The ending did move me to tears, but the next DVD I buy will be this one!

i have watched thismovie over and over and each time i still get the same feelings over and over. the love that is between these two people i can relate to. surviving the one that you love. at the ending of the movie the expression on yossi` face realizing that lior was the love of his life. it is the best gay film that i have seen without all the smutt that is popular gay films. there should be more made of that quality. someday maybe even in the u.s. military will we be so opened. great movie - even better, one to appreicate. p.s. does any-one know what nudnik means if so please e-mail me the definition

About this film i think is verygood film because of this movie not naked and this film is verygood in the screen i like Yossi&Jagger more then other film in this year.
